guitarical pedagogy

in response to the great musical pedagogical software discussion we had the other day... guitar port (note: noisy website, so mute your computer if you're sitting in the library and don't want to make a fool of yourself like I just did) is something I wish I had 100 years ago when I started playing guitar. Anyone want to work on a piano version with me?

I also mentioned some videogames that aren't exactly formal music training software but their basic premises could possibly be borrowed from in the creation of engaging yet educational (shudder) music games:
